I was originally tempted to type the title as “The Cost of Failure”, but failure may be a little inaccurate in its description of what I am able to write; as in my own words, you do not fail until you give up. Although what had transpired just felt like failure in my opinion.
My long delayed intention to clear my debts (that had racked up during the early period of my business) and my failure to make my business more profitable and successful is starting to reveal to me, the kindda of damage it can make.
The failure to succeed is far more expensive than the extreme effort required to push that extra mile everyday to make things work out. Every moment you have less resources than what you ideally have, you run the risk of failing to solve critical issues/problem that you would face from time to time – a result of simply being alive and living.
The amount of lost opportunities easily racks up way more than the amount of backlog/debt that you try to resolve. What could have been easy problems transformed into a Godzilla size problems; what could not even touch you, becomes a stake made of mithril that stabs through your torso made of flesh and bone.
The people you could save…. died because you failed.
The opportunities that could have made you a legend; or at least bring you to the next level…. vanish into the thin air, and perhaps even turn around to bite you because you failed.
The happiness that you could have enjoyed…. lost because you failed.
The failure to not fail is painful. Every moment of delay or procrastination towards what could have, is another stab into your heart for being another loser.
Can you fail no more?
Can you do the catch up and for once, be there?
Can you?
