My Tribute To LKY

LKY-Tribute

Today is a sad day that everyone including myself had been anticipating for years; I am glad to have seen his reign, lived while he was well and about and to witness the day that the lights ends in his life. The emotion of gladness to have lived to see this historic day is terribly mixed with grief that we have lost a great man. A man I have enormous respect and gratitude for.

Everything that I have today: the home, the roof, the education, the possibilities to now chase my dream, is largely due to the fact that he was the Prime Minister of Singapore for that many years. That he did what he have to do to acquire power and do what he think is best for Singapore.

Some and many had despised that he did not “fight clean”, schemed and ruled with an iron grip. They also dismissed that without him, we could still be where we are… But however, if you look at the lives of the people living in other countries all around the world, and then you look back at our own; you will realise that, it can’t be a lot more better than it already is.

His wisdom have roots. His words have meaning deeper than we can understand on the surface. Lets hope we can pick up the mettle after him and continue his work to make Singapore prosper for another 50 years with the wisdom that he once displayed. He helped build so many homes and built the roof of so many peoples heads which they call their home now. Go and find more information on how he did it and the strategies he employed doing that.
