Manga

To be honest, I spent a lot of time reading manga; but somehow, with my experience of starting my business, struggle w it, running it…. I ended up able to really relate very well with the struggles and challenges of the main characters, and learn from their determination to improve and succeed at all cost… It inspires me everyday.

Currently, I’m reading “Kenichi – Strongest Disciple in History”, a talentless teenager whom always had been the victim of bullying, ended up becoming the disciple of the strongest martial art masters. He is talentless in martial arts but made up for it with sheer hardwork and commitment.

Reflecting upon it, I saw my struggles somewhat similar. I’m a person who was almost anti-social (dunno how to talk or socialise well), dislike business stuff, and a man of more talk than action. Taking the plunge into entrepreneurship, with no capital, with no client base… I’m no different from the talentless Kenichi whom weak like hell and do not have the physique advantage. Even with my partner leaving the scene, I hanged on and struggled thru (actually its more like I have no choice; there is no retreat route left for me). Which is same for Kenichi, with every opponent he defeated, another stronger one came into the story and challenged him. In Joji, every month past = more urgent need for things to start flowing (as the debt grows).

Starting the read manga on my ipad every night, reignited my passion for manga. I finally get back into the interesting fantasy world that I had been immersed in during my younger days. And with my struggles in the early days of Joji, I can relate so much better with the main characters – and giving me motivation to replicate and learn from them as I search for motivation to keep me going.

Hopefully, I can be as cool and as awesome as all this main characters in the manga I read.
