I just got my first 3G/4G phone ever, and I decided to go against the popular choices (android and iphones) and chose a Windows Phone – Nokia’s latest flagship phone: Lumia 900.

I actually have no real need for a smart phone since I already have an ipad, but ipad is not supported by WhatsApp. (yes…. i have never used whatsapp ever…) So the smart phone is meant mostly to use WhatsApp.

So ironically, there is a problem with WhatsApp on Lumia 900 – its have a hard time connecting to their server on 3G – which also means that I can only WhatsApp thru WiFi; which is ridiculous. (The connection status is always “Not Connected”)

So after figuring for a long time, I MIGHT found the solution : go to your Lumia 900 network setup app, create a new APN setting:
APN : sunsurf
username: 65
password: 65

And tada! It worked!
